Marijuana, psychedelic drugs found in Iowa City search

IOWA CITY - A multitude of drugs were found in an Iowa City home after police executed a search warrant there earlier this year.
According to Iowa City police criminal complaints, on April 27, officers served a narcotics-related search warrant at 808 Benton Drive, No. 34, an apartment where 29-year-old Cory J. Hanson resided. Police said during the search they found 76 tabs of a substance later determined to be a psychedelic drug known as 'N-BOMB.” Police said they also found 51 grams of marijuana and marijuana wax and 2.5 grams of MDMA.
A 'large amount” of cash, a digital scale, packaging material and smoking devices were also found in the residence, police said.
Hanson admitted to helping his roommate sell marijuana, police said. He has now been arrested and faces charges of controlled substance violation, a Class C felony; controlled substance violation, a Class D felony; Iowa drug tax stamp violation, a Class D felony; keeping a structure to possess or sell controlled substances; an aggravated misdemeanor; and possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor.
If convicted of all of the offenses, Hanson could spend up to 23 years in prison.
