Man arrives at Cedar Rapids hospital with gunshot wounds; police investigating

CEDAR RAPIDS - Police are investigating after a man showed up to the hospital Monday night suffering from gunshot wounds.
Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow said officers heard shots fired in the area of 15th Street and First Avenue East around 8 p.m. About 10 minutes later, a 39-year-old man showed up to the emergency room at Unity Point-St. Luke's Hospital with two gunshot wounds.
The man's injuries were not life-threatening, Buelow said. The incident remains under investigation.
