Kinzler Construction Services to expand in Cedar Rapids

Kinzler Construction Services, an insulation and construction supply contractor, announced Friday it plans to expand in southwest Cedar Rapids.

The Ames-based company will lease space in a newly constructed building at 9915 Atlantic Drive SW, and plans to hire 50 additional staff members.

Kinzler already has an approximately 14,000-square-foot Cedar Rapids location, 6415 Sixth St. SW, which it opened a year ago. It also has locations in Waterloo, Ames and Ankeny as well as in Minneapolis and Tyler, Texas.

The company has about 250 employees across all its locations.

The new building will be about 50,000 square feet and Kinzler will use about 30,000 square feet of it. The additional space will allow the company to store more materials and operate a showroom, Kinzler officials said in an email.

Kinzler expects the building to be operational by the end of this year.
