Iowa City man killed in motorcycle crash

IOWA CITY - An Iowa City man was killed in a motorcycle crash outside of Iowa City on Friday.
According to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to 3053 Rohret Road SW at 11:01 p.m. Friday for a report of a motorcycle crash with injuries. Authorities said the driver, 26-year-old I-An Liang, was eastbound on Rohret Road when he lost control of the motorcycle and slid into a ditch.
Liang and a passenger were both taken to the hospital. Liang, who was not wearing a helmet, died as a result of his injuries. The passenger, who was wearing a helmet, suffered non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the sheriff's office.
