Iowa City man faces robbery charge for Sunday incident

IOWA CITY - An Iowa City man is accused of robbing another man at knifepoint.
According to an Iowa City Police Department criminal complaint, officers responded to the Subway parking lot in the 1900 block of Broadway Street just before 5 p.m. Sunday for a report of a possible robbery. Police spoke with the victim, who reported he was sitting in his car when he was robbed of his cash and an electronic device by a man wielding a knife.
Police said they later located 36-year-old Joshua D. Gillette, who the victim positively identified as the suspect.
Gillette was arrested and faces one count of first-degree robbery, a Class B felony.
