Iowa City man faces charges after vehicle break-ins

IOWA CITY - An Iowa City man faces multiple charges after breaking into cars.
According to Iowa City police criminal complaints, 19-year-old Tyrees T. True broke into two cars in the area of College and Linn streets around 3:34 a.m. Monday. Police said True admitted to breaking into the cars with a wrench and taking a wallet and some change from the two vehicles.
True also had a loaded BB gun in his waistband, police said.
Police said a second man, 18-year-old Joshua W. Noyes, of Wapello, was with True when he was committing the break-ins. Noyes admitted to keeping a wallet that was taken from one of the vehicles.
True was arrested and faces two counts of third-degree burglary, an aggravated misdemeanor; and one count each of carrying weapons, an aggravated misdemeanor; possession of burglar's tools, an aggravated misdemeanor; fourth-degree criminal mischief, a serious misdemeanor; and fifth-degree theft, a simple misdemeanor.
