Hope House resident placed on escape status

CORALVILLE - A Hope House resident has been placed on escape status after failing to return from work on Friday.
According to the Iowa Department of Corrections, 29-year-old Patrick J. Bland did not return to the Hope House Residential Facility Tuesday morning. Bland had been transferred to the Hope House, 2501 Holiday Road, Coralville, in September as part of a 10-year sentence for two counts of second-degree robbery that began in December 2009.
Bland is described as a 5-foot-10-inch, 225-pound black man with black hair, brown eyes and tattoos on his left and right arms.
