Garage destroyed by fire in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS - A garage was destroyed by fire Monday night.
Cedar Rapids firefighters were called to a garage fire at 1532 Fourth Ave. SE at 10:30 p.m. Monday. There, crews found a three-stall garage in the alley behind the residence that was engulfed in flames.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire, but the garage was a total loss, according to a department news release. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
