CORALVILLE - A fifth suspect has been arrested in March burglary investigation and more evidence has been recovered in the case.
Coralville police said 21-year-old Jahmai J.H. Jones, of Coralville, was among the five men who broke into a Coralville residence on March 20. Police said the suspects, one of which was wearing a plastic mask, broke into the residence and assaulted the resident. The five men then took off with cash, cellphone and a television, police said. The men fled in a black vehicle.
Police said one of the four suspects arrested shortly after the burglary said during an interview that he had been with someone identified as Jones. On March 21, police searched Jones' black Chevrolet Impala and found a white plastic mask in the trunk of the vehicle.
Jones has been arrested and faces one count of first-degree burglary, a Class B felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
The other four men arrested in the case are: Kwain E. Crawford, 36, of Chicago; Milton Whitehead, 50, of Cedar Rapids; Quentin D.W. Eatman, 24, of Chicago; and Curtis J. Johnson, 29, of Iowa City. All four men face one count of first-degree burglary.
