Domestic abuse charge against school board member to be dropped

IOWA CITY - A domestic abuse case against an Iowa City school board member will likely be dropped.
On Monday, the Johnson County attorney's Office filed a motion to dismiss in their case against 36-year-old Tuyet Dorau, of Coralville, who was arrested Sept. 6 for domestic abuse. According to the motion, the victim in the case - who is not named - requested the charge be dropped.
Dorau, a member of the school board since 2009, could not be reached for comment on Tuesday.
