Coralville men face burglary, riot charges for Iowa City assault

IOWA CITY - Three Coralville men face burglary and riot charges after an incident over a jacket in Iowa City.
According to Iowa City police criminal complaints, around 12:52 p.m. Sunday, David E. Garibay, Jr., 19; Andy Anderson, 19; and Lasendo J. Banks, Jr., 20; all of Coralville, went to a home in the 2200 block of Taylor Drive in order to get a jacket back from a resident there.
Police said the three men got into an argument with the resident on the front porch and a three-on-one fight broke out. The victim went into his residence, but the three assailants followed him inside and assaulted him in the living room, police said.
All three men were arrested and face charges of first-degree burglary, a Class B felony, and participating in a riot, an aggravated misdemeanor. They face up to 27 years in prison.
