DAVENPORT - A Coralville man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for distributing meth.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Iowa, police executed a search warrant at a Coralville motel room on Aug. 8, 2013. Police said 26-year-old Shedrick X. Pujoe was staying in the room.
Police seized 20 packages of meth, which totaled 88 grams. Additionally, digital scales, gloves, plastic bags and ledgers were taken from the motel room. Police said Pujoe's fingerprint was found on the meth packaging.
Testimony and evidence presented during a trial showed that Pujoe sold meth on multiple occasions to a customer during the summer of 2014. He was found guilty of a drug trafficking charge on Oct. 8, 2014.
On Thursday, Pujoe was sentenced to 180 months in prison, as well as five years supervised release following his imprisonment.
The case was investigated by the Johnson County Drug Task Force, Iowa Department of Narcotics Enforcement, Drug Enforcement Administration and the Coralville and Iowa City police departments.
