CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids woman faces weapons charges after trying to pawn stolen weapons.
According to the Linn County Attorney's Office, police were called to EZ Pawn, 2660 Wiley Blvd. SW, on Feb. 12 for a theft investigation. There, police learned 41-year-old Elizabeth M. Snyder had pawned multiple firearms.
At least one of the guns was previously stolen, police said.
Snyder has prior felony convictions for fraudulent use of a credit card, second-degree theft and forgery, making it illegal for her to possess or transport a firearm.
Snyder has been arrested and charged with control of a firearm as a felon and trafficking stolen weapons. If convicted of both offenses, Snyder could spend up to 15 years in prison.
