PALO - Two Cedar Rapids residents are accused of possessing meth.
According to the Linn County Attorney's Office, 45-year-old Melvin H. Roberts, Jr. and 37-year-old Sylvia M. McVay, who live together on Medford Lane NE, were found together in a vehicle on Blairs Ferry Road in Palo on Wednesday. A Linn County Sheriff's Office deputy said their vehicle smelled strongly of meth.
A search of the vehicle turned up items used to manufacture meth, authorities said.
Roberts, Jr. and McVay were both arrested and have been charged with possession with intent to manufacture a controlled substance.
