CEDAR RAPIDS - A woman hit by a truck earlier this month died last week, authorities said.
Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow said Glenda Masek, 62, died on Thursday.
Masek was hit by a truck driven by Jeremy Glovik, 22, on May 9, according to police. Authorities said Glovik was driving westbound on 15th Avenue SW around 4:31 p.m. when he turned left onto Sixth Street SW. Glovik's truck collided with Masek, police said.
Glovik remained on the scene and was interviewed by officers, Buelow said. The crash remains under investigation.
According to her obituary, Masek 'enjoyed making salsa for Christmas gifts, stained glass, the Steelers and her Harley-Davidson.” Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Saint Mark's Faith & Life Center in Marion with visitation to occur one hour before services.
