Cedar Rapids police investigating crash on Fourth Ave. SE

CEDAR RAPIDS - Cedar Rapids police are investigating a personal injury crash.
Cedar Rapids spokeswoman Maria Johnson said the adult female driver was westbound on Fourth Avenue SE around 7:30 a.m. Johnson said when the driver crossed 15th Street SE, she lost control and hit a tree in the 1400 block of Fourth Avenue SE.
The vehicle came to rest on the passenger side and the driver was partially pinned under the vehicle, Johnson said. First responders arrived on scene at 7:32 a.m. and freed the driver, Johnson said. She was transported to Mercy Hospital.
Johnson said the woman's condition is unknown at this time.
