Cedar Rapids police investigate Sunday shooting

CEDAR RAPIDS - One person was injured in a shooting Sunday evening.
Cedar Rapids police responded to the 1200 block of Fifth Avenue SE around 5:39 p.m. for a report of shots fired. While officers were initially unable to locate a victim, they were called to a local hospital at 5:55 p.m. for a man who had arrived at the emergency room with a gunshot wound.
The man's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
