NORTH LIBERTY - A Cedar Rapids man was found to be carrying a loaded handgun and meth after leading a state trooper on a high-speed chase.
According to Iowa State Patrol criminal complaints, around 6:44 p.m. Monday, an Iowa State Patrol trooper was northbound on Interstate 380 near the Interstate 80 interchange when he saw a motorcycle get onto I-380 from Interstate 80 west. The motorcycle driver, later identified as Jordan F. Fetter, 31, cut into the left lane and passed the trooper at 90 mph.
Authorities said the trooper followed Fetter, who was clocked at 119 mph near North Liberty. When the trooper activated his lights, Fetter allegedly looked back, accelerated and fled between cars at 144 mph.
The trooper pursued Fetter, who passed on the shoulder and in between vehicles. Authorities said the traffic cleared and Fetter reached a speed of 151 mph. The trooper was able to pass and block Fetter and slow him down.
'I could hear him screaming at me to ‘move, my mom's dying,'” the complaint reads.
The trooper slowed down to 2 mph and Fetter bumped the trooper's bumper and the trooper got out. Authorities said Fetter tipped his motorcycle over and began to back away from the trooper. When Fetter refused to comply with the trooper's orders to get to the ground, the trooper deployed a stun gun and took Fetter into custody, authorities said.

'He said the drugs were not his and he was just delivering them for someone - a story he later changed,” the complaints state.

Fetter admitted to using meth earlier in the day, authorities said. He also admitted to delivering meth to someone.
