CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man faces weapons charges stemming from an incident in early June.
According to Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow, on June 3 around 5:25 p.m., 19-year-old Zevon L. Johnson entered Jim's Foods and confronted someone in the store. Buelow said a handgun was displayed during the confrontation.
Johnson and the victim knew each other, Buelow said.
'It was not a random act,” he said.
Johnson has been arrested and faces charges of going armed with intent, intimidation with a dangerous weapon and carrying weapons.
