Cedar Rapids man faces sex abuse charge

IOWA CITY - A Cedar Rapids man is accused of sexually abusing a victim in Iowa City last month.
According to an Iowa City Police Department criminal complaint, on May 28, 19-year-old Nicholas R. Camenisch had sexual contact with the victim without consent. Police said after the incident, Camenisch admitted during a recorded phone call that he was 'drunk and dumb” and that he committed the sex act.
Camenisch has been arrested and faces one count of third-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
