Cedar Rapids man faces robbery, weapons charges

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man faces robbery and weapons charges following a pair of incidents in November.
According to Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow and the Linn County Attorney's Office, police responded to a report of a robbery at 12:32 a.m. Nov. 11 at 2277 C St. SW. The victim, a Papa John's pizza delivery driver, told police that as she was leaving the apartment complex, a man displayed what appeared to be handgun and took the pizza and cash from her.
In a separate incident, officers were called to 4122 Wilson Ave. SW at 10 p.m. on Nov. 17 for a report of a burglary with shots fired. Police determined a bullet had entered the front window of an apartment.
Authorities said 19-year-old Rechaud C. Green was developed as a suspect in each of the incidents. He has been arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, a Class B felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison; intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a Class C felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison; and two counts of going armed with intent, a Class D felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
