Cedar Rapids man faces drug charges after traffic stop

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man faces multiple drug charges following a traffic stop.
According to criminal complaints and Cedar Rapids police, officers spotted 36-year-old Dekota J. Sprague driving in the 2200 block of O Avenue NW around 12:36 a.m. Sunday. Sprague was known to officers to not have a valid driver's license, and he was pulled over.
While speaking with Sprague, police said they saw a bag with white residue and a straw in a glasses case. Further search turned up 8.8 grams of meth, marijuana, hydrocodone pills, glass pipes, a scale, straws and a spoon with white residue.
Sprague was arrested and faces charges of possession of meth with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, Iowa drug tax stamp violation, unlawful possession of a prescription drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
