CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man faces numerous charges after breaking into a residence and telling the occupants he had a gun.
According to a Linn County Attorney's Office criminal complaint, on July 22, 25-year-old Wayne Fagan entered an apartment on Johnson Avenue NW and told the residents he was armed. Fagan then stole the victims' wallets and took other property from the apartment, authorities said.
Fagan then used one of the victim's credit cards at Wal-Mart, 3601 29th Ave. SW., according to the complaint. When Fagan was arrested, he had marijuana and drug paraphernalia on him, authorities said.
Fagan now faces charges of second-degree burglary, false use of a credit card, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Fagan has a previous conviction for possession of a controlled substance from 2008. He remains in custody at the Linn County Jail.
