Cedar Rapids man faces assault charge

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man is accused of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse.
According to the Linn County Attorney's Office, Cedar Rapids police were called to a residence on 10th Street SE on Nov. 4. Police said 33-year-old Quincy T. Daugherty grabbed a woman around the waist while making sexual comments to her.
Assault with intent to commit sexual abuse is an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in jail.
