Cedar Rapids man arrested in 11-month-old burglary investigation

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man has been charged in an 11-month-old burglary investigation.
According to the Linn County Attorney's Office, on April 16, 2014, 41-year-old Michael Davenport entered a residence in the 1500 block of Sixth Avenue SE. The resident was home at the time of the break-in and Davenport allegedly assaulted the man and stole money from him.
Blood was found at the scene which analysis from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation Crime Lab confirmed came from Davenport.
Davenport has been arrested and charged with first-degree burglary.
