Cedar Rapids man accused of sexually abusing young boy

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man is accused of sexually abusing a young boy multiple times over the course of several months.
According to the Linn County Attorney's Office, during a seven month period between 2014 and 2015, 48-year-old Joseph W. Chesmore 'committed a multitude of sex acts” on an 11-year-old boy.
Chesmore has been charged with three counts of second-degree sexual abuse, a Class B felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
