Cedar Rapids man accused of exposing himself inside storage unit

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man is accused of exposing himself to a woman inside a storage unit.

According to the Linn County Attorney's Office, around 10:50 a.m. Thursday, 23-year-old Jordan N. Sanford entered the U-Haul office at 1550 16th Ave. SW. Police said Sanford told a female employee working the front desk that he had a moisture problem in the storage unit he was renting. Sanford asked the woman to come inspect the unit with him.

Police said the woman secured the office and went to Sanford's storage unit. Sanford was inside and naked, authorities said. Sanford invited the woman to join him, but she declined and contacted Cedar Rapids police.

Sanford was arrested and has been charged with indecent exposure, a serious misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail.
