Cedar Rapids man accused of entering home armed with baseball bat, sexually abusing resident

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man is accused of entering a residence armed with a baseball bat and sexually assaulting a woman inside.
According to the Linn County Attorney's Office, Cedar Rapids police were called to a residence in the 1800 block of A Avenue NE on Nov. 4 for a report of a disturbance. Responding officers said that Dekota J. Sprague, 38, had entered the residence without permission while carrying a bat.
Once inside, Sprague pushed around a woman and sexually assaulted her. Sprague refused to comply with officers' orders and resisted arrest, authorities said.
Sprague faces charges of first-degree burglary, third-degree sexual abuse, assault causing bodily injury and interference with official acts.
