Cedar Rapids man accused of break-in, assault

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man is accused of entering a woman's home and assaulting her.
According to a Linn County Sheriff's Office criminal complaint, on Feb. 28, 38-year-old Joseph S. Anderson entered a residence on J Street SW without the resident's permission. Authorities said Anderson hit the resident in the mouth with a closed fist and choked her.
Anderson was arrested and faces one count of first-degree burglary.
