Cedar Rapids man accused in break-in, assault

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man is accused of breaking into a home last week and assaulting two people inside.
According to a Linn County Attorney's Office criminal complaint, on March 27, 30-year-old Jessie P. Collione broke into a residence on J Street SW. While inside, Collione allegedly hit one resident in the head with a handgun and punched and kicked him, causing cuts and swelling. Collione hit a second resident in the face, causing her cuts, bruising and swelling, authorities said.
Authorities said Collione stole two computers, a flat-screen TV and a purse from the residence. He has been arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, two counts of willful injury and one count of second-degree theft.
