Cedar Rapids house fire does 'extensive damage'

CEDAR RAPIDS – No one was hurt in a Cedar Rapids house fire Friday evening.
The Cedar Rapids Fire Department was called to a house fire at 75 Allview Dr. SW at 5:42 p.m. Friday. A caller reported flames were shooting out of the home's side window, authorities said.
Responding crews encountered smoke and fire upon their arrival. Once all of the residents were accounted for, firefighters entered the home and put out the blaze. Firefighters said the home sustained 'extensive damage.”
A neighboring residence also sustained minor heat damage, firefighters said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
