Cedar Rapids firefighters respond to morning business fire

CEDAR RAPIDS - Cedar Rapids firefighters extinguished a small commercial fire Monday morning.
Fire crews responded to Curves, 3720 Edgewood Road SW, at 6 a.m. Monday after an employee there reported finding the business filled with smoke when she opened for the day. Firefighters entered the business and found a small fire in an oscillating fan that had extended to the adjacent walls. The fire was quickly knocked down, according to the fire department.
The business suffered light smoke damage throughout the building.
