Cedar Rapids Fire Department equipment stolen

CEDAR RAPIDS - Training equipment has been stolen from the Cedar Rapids Fire Department.
According to a post on the department's Facebook page, at some point Monday night someone broke into a building the firefighters were using for training at 1200 Blairs Ferry Road NE. The burglar stole two saws and a portable generator valued at $2,000.
Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call the Cedar Rapids Police Department at 286-5400.
