Nelson Brands wasn’t sure when he was bit by the coaching bug but said he has enjoyed his first season as head coach at Iowa City Regina.

Nelson Brands is an accomplished wrestler, winning three state titles and All-American honors in high school and college. He also trained under Hall of Fame coaches. Brands will bring those experiences to his new role as Iowa City Regina boys’ head wrestling coach.

Mark Reiland made his mark at all levels, winning an individual title at Eagle Grove, an NCAA title for the Hawkeyes and coaching Iowa City West to 7 state titles.
