Second-ranked Iowa and No. 7 Iowa State split all 10 matches, but Spencer Lee made his debut with a major decision, Real Woods also debuted with a win, Cobe Siebrecht and Nelson Brands added bonus points and heavyweight Tony Cassioppi capped the 18-15 dual victory.
In his season debut for the Hawkeyes, Nelson Brands scored two takedowns and earned a 5-1 decision at 174 pounds. Iowa won seven matches in a 26-11 romp over No. 21 Penn Saturday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Mark Reiland made his mark at all levels, winning an individual title at Eagle Grove, an NCAA title for the Hawkeyes and coaching Iowa City West to 7 state titles.
Top-ranked Iowa beat Iowa State 22-11 and remained unbeaten against the Cyclones under head coach Tom Brands.
Iowa Coach Tom Brands said that Spencer Lee remains day-to-day and that no timetable has been set for his return to top-ranked Iowa’s lineup.
