The 1980’s fashion hiding in your closet

The sleeves were inexplicably poofy, the hair unexplainably big. My mom had a perm and my dad wore acid wash jeans - maybe yours did, too! Looking at old photos of family from the '80s might make you scratch your head and just say, why?
But, if you look closely, you might notice some of the trendiest looks today don't look so different from those old pictures.
Fashion is often cyclical, and there's even a term for trends repeating themselves: the '20-year rule.” The basic idea is popular clothing goes out of style after a while, then 20 years later, it comes back. So the stuff you wear now is likely to be cool again in 2040 - maybe your own kids will rewear your 'vintage” looks!
The '80s were, of course, 30 to 40 years ago, but '80s fashion still seems to be enjoying a renaissance. Do you have any of these 80s staples in your closet?
