Hungry for more pig stories? Books and movies about pigs

Plenty of books and movies have been made about pigs. Here are a few you might like (and one starring a certain famous Bacon).
'Charlotte's Web” by E.B. White
In this novel, a pig named Wilbur becomes dear friends with a barn spider named Charlotte. Realizing Wilbur is being raised to be slaughtered and eaten, Charlotte concocts a plan to save her pig friend, spinning her webs into words praising Wilbur. Will the farmer believe Charlotte's messages and spare Wilbur?
'If You Give a Pig a Pancake” by Laura Joffe Numeroff
Much like the classic, 'If you give a Mouse a Cookie,” this storybook gets out of hand quickly. Once the pig has a pancake, she wants syrup and a bath and bubbles for the bath and on and on! Read this story with a grown-up or to an younger sibling to find out what else this well-fed pig demands.
The movie 'Babe” (1995)
Babe is another story about a little pig trying to survive on a farm. A farmer wins Babe in a county fair, and soon the pig is taken in by the farmer's Border Collie and her puppies back on the farm. 'A pig who thinks he's a dog,” one character remarks, even learns to herd the sheep like a sheepdog! If you have HboMax, it's streaming.
And one recommendation for the other Bacon … The movie 'Balto” (1995)
OK, so this isn't about pigs, but it does star the actor Kevin Bacon. This movie is based on a true story about an outcast half-wolf who takes on the treacherous job of delivering medicine across the Alaskan tundra to save a group of children who are sick with diphtheria. (The movie is set in the 1920s - we have a vaccine for this disease now!) It's streaming on Hulu.
