The first few days of school can be overwhelming and exciting.
You probably have a new teacher, and maybe even are going to a new school. Suddenly there are lots of papers and assignments and projects to do and remember. How will you keep on top of everything?
A binder — personally designed to your style — with pockets and dividers can help.
Once you have a binder decorated, use it to keep track of all your schoolwork. Make a habit of tucking your finished homework in the front pocket so you never lose it, or make dividers to clip inside to organize different classes or subjects.
Here’s how, adapted from The Inspiration Board blog.
What you need:
- Washi tape
- Paper or cardstock
- Scissors
- A binder
1. Choose how you want your covers to look. Do you like a simple, clean pattern? Or a funky, creative look? Decide on your design, then start sticking the tape to your paper.
2. When you’re finished with one paper, flip it over and fold down the edges of the tape.
3. Cut out a long strip of paper and decorate it the same way. This will slide into the spine of the binder.
4. Make the back cover of your binder the same way you made the first — don’t be afraid to try a different design!
5. Slide all three covers into place and admire your finished product.
