A section for and about kids — because you deserve to know what's happening

When I was a kid, all of the people I saw reading the newspaper were adults.

My parents read it during breakfast on Sundays. My teachers pointed at it during class. Old people read it in coffee shops.

The paper was for them, the adults. Maybe I looked at the comics every once in a while, but I didn't think the other pages were for me.

Now that I'm (a little bit) older, I don't think that was right — a lot of the news stories I wasn't reading were about things that affected my school, my neighborhood, my family.

Kids deserve to know what's happening in their communities. That's why other journalists and I created The Kids Gazette. This is a part of the newspaper just for you, where you can find out about what's happening in the world around you — plus play games, do fun activities and create your own stories.
