To do so, check out our questions we sent to school districts throughout the Corridor.
The districts
Six candidates are running for three four-year, at-large terms on the school board that governs Linn-Mar Community School District.
In the Clear Creek Amana Community School District, incumbent Bob Broghammer is facing Scott Rohret in a run off for the District 2 seat. Nikki Knapp is running unopposed in District 4, and incumbent Eileen Schmidt is facing Kathy Swenka and Shawn Zierke in the race for the at-large position on the board.
Four candidates are running for three at-large seats on the board that governs the Solon Community School District.
Four candidates, three of them incumbents, are running for three at-large seats on the Mount Vernon Community School District's school board.
Voters in the Iowa City Community School District have four school board members to elect Tuesday. Five candidates are running for three at-large seats and two are vying for one abbreviated two-year term that was created by board member LaTasha DeLoach's resignation.
For the board that oversees the Cedar Rapids Community School District, three four-year terms are on the ballot. Incumbent Nancy Humbles is running unopposed in District 2, while two are vying for the District 3 seat and three are campaigning for an at-large seat.
