The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union and the Iowa High School Athletic Association released assignments for track and field state-qualifying meets Monday.

Track and field: Drake Relays 2023 form chart, including official area qualifiers

Forwald-Coleman Relays: Linn-Mar’s Nicholas Gorsich pulled away down the stretch to run 52.02 in the 400 hurdles, and Iowa City High’s Ford Washburn posted a fast distance double (9:04.28 and 4:10.93).

Boys’ track and field: Moustafa Tiea’s come-from-behind 1:53 split triggers Iowa City West’s 4x800; Cedar Rapids Kennedy, Cedar Rapids Prairie share the title at the John Ask Relays.
