Drake Relays: Western Dubuque junior Quentin Nauman jets through the final lap in 55.7 seconds, sets a Drake record in the boys’ 3,200 meters in 8:52.45.

Drake Relays: Iowa City West middle-distance star Moustafa Tiea has fulfilled a promise to his mother (a college scholarship), and realized his potential. He, and others, will take aim at the 1:50 barrier in the 800 meters Friday.

Women’s basketball: Chazadi “Chit-Chat” Wright has committed to join the Iowa Hawkeyes. Wright follows new Iowa assistant LaSondra Barrett from Georgia Tech and has three years of eligibility remaining.
