CASCADE 49, WEST LIBERTY 21 — By the time Austin Lieurance left the game in the fourth quarter, the damage was done.
Lieurance, who exited with a possible rib injury, rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns in the first half, finishing with 253 yards on 22 carries, as Class 2A second-ranked Cascade ran away from West Liberty, 49-21, Friday night in a first-round prep football playoff game at Cascade.
The Cougars finished with 560 yards of total offense, 418 coming on the ground behind their dominant offensive line.
'Our offense came out and played great tonight,' Lieurance said. 'Our line dominated and made it easy for me, (Mitchell) Gibbs and Colby (Holmes).'
Cascade (10-0) is the only unbeaten team in 2A and hosts Union next Friday in the quarterfinals.
Tanner Iske led West Liberty with 144 total yards and two touchdowns.

PLEASANTVILLE 32, WEST BRANCH 13 — The Bears just cannot seem to solve the Pleasantville problem in the playoffs.
This is the fourth meeting between the two squads. All have been in the playoffs. All have been Pleasantville victories (1988, 1994, and 1995).
Hunter Tyree rushed for 230 yards and scored three times for the Trojans — on runs of 54 and 78 yards, and an 87-yard kickoff return. The latter came after West Branch had got within 16-13.
Beau Cornwell and Jacob Graves both had touchdown runs for the Bears, who had 248 yards of total offense. Cornwell completed 18 of 32 passes for 155 yards, but was picked off twice.
