Riese Zmolek’s hockey career has gone from Minnesota to Iowa to Minnesota to Iowa.

The Iowa Heartlanders roster was divulged and it includes a former NHL player and a former Cedar Rapids RoughRider.

Defenseman Jake Linhart is the first player to sign with the new Iowa Heartlanders hockey team. He already has two years of ECHL experience.

Gerry Fleming played briefly in NHL and has head coaching experience in AHL, ECHL. He was named inaugural head coach of the new Coralville hockey club.
