This month, breweries across Iowa are taking advantage of new changes that modernize Iowa’s alcohol laws for the first time in decades.
After ceasing brewing operations, Thew Brewing at 301 Second Ave. SW will reopen as The Lucky Cat later this month with comedy, trivia, yoga and other events. It’ll offer some drinks and food, including a drink named after drag queen Lexi Belle.
That will mean some new names alongside traditional mainstays such as Schild Brau and Iowa Pale Ale. Many new styles will be offered in cans, also new for Millstream.
