St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church is providing free lunch at the Pheasant Ridge Neighborhood Center until August with food donations from HACAP Food Pantry.

HACAP Food Reservoir has partnered with area health care providers to launch Food is Medicine, a program that screens for food insecurity and provides immediate assistance to patients in need.

HACAP Food Reservoir is launching a new food drive to help advance food security in East Central Iowa. On Saturday, community members can drop off nonperishable food between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at HACAP Food Reservoir in Hiawatha, Lindale Mall or the Westdale First Federal Credit Union in Cedar Rapids.

Individuals meeting at (or below) the federal poverty guidelines will be eligible to apply for the Low-income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) facilitated through the Hawkeye Area Community Action Program, Inc. (HACAP) in nine Eastern Iowa counties.
