Foundation 2 is pursuing a more than $3 million renovation of the historic Witwer Building in downtown Cedar Rapids, largely supported by local and state American Rescue Plan funds, to serve as its new headquarters. The move will consolidate five existing Foundation 2 buildings into one hub for training and services.
The new program manager for Foundation 2 emergency youth shelter came back to where she started her social work career. Shelby Holsapple enjoys connecting with kids and helping them learn to advocate for themselves.
Hundreds of students were referred to and waiting for school-based therapy services, the Cedar Rapids Community School District last month reported.
