Iowa high school football: Who the ranked teams face in Week 4

Iowa high school football district play kicks off for Class 2A and Class 1A teams this week, and each class features a top-10 matchup to get started.

In 2A, eighth-ranked Cherokee (3-0) gets its biggest test of the season to date when it hosts No. 4 Western Christian (3-0). And in 1A, a pair of 2-1 teams that lost to opponents in bigger classes square off when No. 7 Avoca AHSTW hosts No. 3 Underwood.

There are key district games in Class A (notably No. 6 Madrid at newly top-ranked Lynnville-Sully) and 8-Player (No. 10 Lansing Kee at No. 7 Don Bosco), too.

Of course, the larger three classes add plenty of intriguing non-district matchups to the weekly slate.
