Highway 30 Diner
Cedar Rapids has a new breakfast spot with Highway 30 Diner, open now at 4330 16th Ave. SW. The menu includes a breakfast spread with waffles, French toast, pancakes, omelets, croissant sandwiches and dishes like steak and eggs and chicken and waffles. They also serve lunch, with sandwiches and entrees like meat loaf and country fried steak.
Estela's Fresh Mex
Iowa City fast-casual Mexican restaurant Estela's Fresh Mex has opened a new location in Coralville. The restaurant, which features tacos, burritos, quesadillas and more, is now open at 1810 N. Coral St.
Tyler Tiecke, Jerry Vasquez and his mother, Elsa de La Paz, opened Estela's at 184 E. Burlington St., Iowa City, in November 2017, named in honor of de La Paz's mother, Estela. The trio had previously owned Mami's, which also served fast-casual Mexican.
