Estela’s Fresh Mex

An Iowa City fast-casual Mexican eatery is expanding into Coralville.

Estela’s Fresh Mex announced on Facebook it would open a new location at 1610 N. Coral St., Coralville, sometime this fall.

“Same great food with fresh tortillas and ingredients BUT we’re adding a big outdoor patio, alcoholic beverages, and more! Stay tuned for more updates,” the post read.

Tyler Tiecke, Jerry Vasquez and his mother, Elsa de La Paz, opened Estela’s at 184 E. Burlington St., Iowa City, in November 2017, named in honor of de La Paz’s mother, Estela. The trio had previously owned Mami’s, which also served fast-casual Mexican.
